Leadership & Management Background
My distinctive background has provided me with a skillset unique to most software engineers. I have managed teams of over 130 people; I understand that people are my greatest assets and I always have a team-first mentality. Additionally, I have spent over 5 years managing 24/7 production process areas and facilities. I am a competitive, results-driven leader with a "get things done" attitude and a heavy focus on efficiency and scalability.
My Story
My passion has always been for people and helping them achieve their larger than life goals. I see technology as the ultimate tool for bringing people together and driving growth. I saw an opportunity to combine my leadership and management experience with the hardskills of modern programming languages to enable me to better serve that passion in my career. Here’s how I ultimately got here:

During an internship in college, I taught myself python in order to display and overlay 3D models of ribosomal proteins as part of my research project.

I later graduated with a degree in biochemistry and immediately entered the workforce with Anheuser-Busch InBev as an operations supervisor.

Throughout my career in manufacturing, I was enamored with the PLCs that controlled all of the equipment and conveyors throughout production.

I strove to become the resident expert for PLCs at our brewery. I continued to learn our systems and started implementing better infrastructure to aid in troubleshooting and scalability.

I experienced much success and upward mobility in manufacturing, but stepped down from my role as a Plant Manufacturing Manager to pursue a career more heavily focused on software engineering.

I am continuing to learn and grow everyday. I am passionate about software engineering and I am hungry to learn as much as I can.
